Once we have agreed on the service to be provided, here are some tips for submitting a handwriting sample:

  1. Write a page or two on a topic that interests you.

For example, you can write about an event, ask questions about your handwriting or what you hope to learn, or you can write about a hobby, interest, or political issue. For this exercise, it’s best to pick a topic or two and just start writing. You can also submit samples written on different days or at different times.

  2. Use unlined paper, preferably standard letter size (8 & 1/2 x 11) and a pen that you enjoy using.

  3. Just write from your heart. Don’t think about how your writing looks. Don’t worry about spelling, grammar, or punctuation. Do not copy from a book or previously written material.

  4. It helps to write a little more quickly rather than pausing and writing carefully.

  5. If you print, then print your sample but also send along some cursive writing as well.

  6. If you have various styles of writing, you can include copies of those along with your original sample.

  7. Be sure to include what you hope to get from this analysis, if anything in particular.

  8. Include your usual signature and, if you wish, any variations.

  9. Include a note if you are taking any medications that may affect your handwriting.

  10. Send your original samples of writing, and any copies if that’s relevant, to:

Handwriting Analysis

In return, I will:

  1. Let you know when I receive your package and give you an estimated date for the analysis, usually within 2 weeks.

  2. Return all materials submitted by you while retaining copies for my files.

  3. Send an analysis based on our agreement by U.S. Mail, email, or both.

  4. If your analysis is intended to offer insight into your healing/recovery process, it may highlight certain traits, answer questions that you have asked, and/or offer thoughts on your healing process based on what I see in your handwriting and my experience in human behavior and potential.
