In all our running around this time of year, I am reminded to stop, breathe, and notice the magic. All the decorations are for our benefit—to bring joy and wonder to all who behold. The well wishes, regardless of tradition, are just that—sharing the kindness, generosity, and hope with all we encounter. Although there are some complainers, angry words, and much commercialism, it doesn't have to be that way for us. We can remember to stop, look beyond, and notice the smiling faces, hear the giggles of excitement, and see the sparkle of light everywhere and in everyone. It only takes a moment to remember that our mindful presence, to ourselves and others, is also a gift.
