We all know the caterpillar's ability to transform into a butterfly. Check out this 1 minute YouTube video from a TED talk and watch a master of disguise in action. This octopus can change it's shape, color, and texture whenever it feels the need. It does this to attract a mate, catch prey, and hide from predators. It is amazing to watch! We, as humans, can come up with some pretty clever ways to project a specific image, achieve a goal, or hide from an unpleasant situation. Maybe we don't think of them as superpowers, but this flexibility can be a tremendous asset. The only danger is when we keep changing to match our environment and forget who we truly are. At some point, we need to stand up, throw off the mask, and be authentic. So what is your superpower? What are you really good at? It may be a skill you haven't fully recognized and appreciated. Okay, so (maybe) you can't leap a tall building, but in the long run you'll find that these qualities are much more long-lasting and far-reaching. Here's a short list of alternative superpowers:
